After missing a long time, Taiwanese HTC has decided to re-enter the top smartphone industry with plans to release a 5G smartphone later this year. The new report, according to Yves Maitre, HTC’s new chief executive, revealed for the first time in a recent interview.
During this interview, the new CEO of HTC mentioned that his development goals as well as the opportunity to re-enter the industry will start to emerge in the Taiwanese market, especially with regards to. And 5G network technology and Virtual Reality (VR) devices. According to a local UDN website, HTC is working with Qualcomm to study the top-end smartphones this year with features like the latest 5G technology. However, details on the specs or looks of the new smart phone have yet to be revealed. In addition, the VR device under HTC’s VIVE brand is delivering the latest VR experience, both hardware and software, to customers on the upcoming models.
